Hi all, I own a 93 VFR and I've never had to replace the headlight bulb...until now. I've got a Haynes book but it's confusing, covers a ton of models and none of the pix apply to my bike. Can someone tell me in plain english what's involved in replacing the bulb? It's the left one that is out (on low beam).

Also I have a genuine Honda bulb I bought a few years ago. I'm going to put it in since I have it but that bulb is $55 CDN at the dealer (I don't think I paid that much). Is there a cheaper option?!

Basically, you need to pull off the rubber dust cover from behind the lens, unplug the electrical connector and undo the wire clip the get the old bulb out.
A cheaper bulb alternative would be a regular H4 automotive bulb with the 2 smaller tabs bent back. You can do a search on installing these modified bulbs, I have these in my bike and they work good. Good luck!
