I would have like to see the footage prior to the guy Brake Checking the SUV to see if there was already an altercation in the works.. From the video the white bike brake checks a 4k lbs SUV and physics says that the bike is going to get tagged. At that point its a simple fender bender bike is at fault nobody is hurt etc etc..

The situation changes dramatically at about :50sec in where they try to drag the driver of the SUV out of the vehicle... Agian physics is king here.. I'm getting the hell out of there and calling the cops while I head to the nearest police station. If I have to run over a motorcycle or two to get out of that danger I pray that there is nobody on it.

Again I'm not saying the SUV doesn't share some culpability in this issue because we don't know form the video posted what happened prior to the Brake Check. But that majority of the riders in that video shoul dbe the poster child for the definition of Squid.

While we don't know what happened before we can't really make judgements, but who in their right mind brake checks a car . I must say I would have been terrified if I was sitting in that car with a bunch of guys bearing down on me.

Break checks on a motorcycle...in Texas....Um doesn't work. You would be called a speed bump. Considering the bumper of the trucks here are probably even with most motorcyclists helmets...for those that wear helmets here.

The SUV driver was probably scared out of his skull. I would have been. Combine that with a 5 gallon bucket of adrenalin coming from the sport bike crowd and you have a recipe for disaster. If I were the Range rover pilot I'd be on a 911 call to police dispatch. That's motorcycle gang crap without the Harley dudes. With the way people feel about motorcycles in general, all they would have to do is show that video in court and the guy walks, even if he ran over a whole bunch of em.

Go here and read the story.

I for one would like to see the beginning of this video. Who started it? It's mob mentality at it's finest. I've also hear other reports that nobody was injured, other than the driver, which could be false. But again, I would of done the exact same thing. Even as a motorcyclist. And in the video you can't see any plates. Isn't that failure to properly display plates? why, when seen, are the police not pulling them over and ticketing, or impounding bikes, for that? don't get it, but then again I'm a mid-westerner that wouldn't be riding like that to begin with.

The whole video looked like a show of the worst behavior possible by people on two wheels. So much for being motorcycling's good will ambassadors. Don't you find it ironic that people are intimidated by motorcycles when they are the most vulnerable vehicles on the road?

I recently spent two years living in NYC and seeing these guys all over. They ride like this all the time, lane-splitting in moving traffic at 60 MPH between cars going 25-35. Wearing shorts and brain buckets. Basically they're a bunch of young, dumb ass-hats that get off on acting macho - nothing even vaguely new. The difference here is that instead of 1 or 3 or 5 of them, it was 30+, which means the stupid is multiplied.

But who is the real culprit here? The NYPD. There should have been cops keeping tabs on that mob constantly, there should have been a helicopter ready to go in case a 911 call regarding the mob of bikers came in. And frankly, the NYPD should have road blocked and arrested *all* of them as soon as they knew where they were and how they were driving (and trust me, the NYPD definitely knew about this - people make 911 calls when they see a mob of 30 crazed bikers driving like lunatics in Upper Manhattan).

    Unfortunately the NYPD isn't a police force - it's a bureaucratic cluster-#$Y% that babysits a bloated city.

And the stupid keeps on rolling:

Story: Wife Says Biker husband is victim in NYC altercation

The wife says that her husband Edwin Mieses Jr., suffered broken legs and spine injuries and the hands of that rogue Range Rover driver. A person responding to the article posted this:

Edwin E. Mieses, 26, of 17 Bernard Ave., Nov. 28, charged with operating a motor vehicle after license was revoked, illegal possession of a Class D narcotic, operating a motor vehicle with defective equipment and on five outstanding warrants; Arrested Again in May, Since 1999, he has been ticketed by police 16 times, in Lawrence, Methuen, Roxbury, Andover, and New Hampshire, according to registry records.
In June, the Registry notified the National Driver Register that Mieses was a habitual traffic offender whose right to drive in Massachusetts was revoked until 2017, records show." How can a family defend this record?

Sounds like he was on his way to the orphanage to read to the crippled kids and got caught up in all this ugly business.

He'll probably end up a millionaire for his stupid actions.

I doubt it dude. It's pretty hard to turn "arrested for driving with a suspended license in possession of narcotics" into a civil court case. Given his record, this guy is probably going to go to jail with some sort of mandatory sentencing because of his extensive history of shitting all over the law.

PHACKING IDIOTS pseudo-bikers that spread out bad image to all of us, I don't know what happened before, but it seems that it was no blood or contact before, the second 30 shows how THAT A.S.S.H.O.L.E. brake in front of the SUV, may be the asian did the rear hit voluntary or involuntary, and is in-admissible he didn't stop and talk, helping the idiot, but panic is panic, when you have 150 apes running towards around your family, I don't know what ? do.

When the idiots align in the universe of traffic everything can happen.

"The algorithm used to distribute uniformly the idiots in this planet is so powerful that ensures you to meet one or two everyday"

Some times they meet each other... these things simply happen.

Y never ride with 200 other bikes, that's not to enjoy the bike, is to enjoy testosterone. Bike is FREEDOM, not to be forced to the other's will.

    I SAID!!

I think the very fact that there were not destroyed bikes and flattened bloodied riders strewn all over the road shows the remarkable restraint of Mr Lien. (the SUV driver)

The video rider apparently goes by "Michelinman900" on youtube & has posted idiotic videos of their stupid behavior before. Sure hope the SUV defense attorney pulls those previous vids off youtube for evidence in the trial~what a dumbass.

I also find it curious how the video only starts at the brake check. My guess is there is some stupid behavior earlier that the videographer didn't want everyone to see. I'm sure the whole thing will get subpoena'd.

The one thing the SUV driver should have done was drive nice and slow (30 MPH or so) and just weaved side to side. If some dumb ass on a bike were to try and block him, that is their own damned fault for getting in his way. A nice slow drive on the freeway would have given him time to call 911 and get the cops to him, without having to get into city traffic and stop.

These kinds of idiots and antics are a black eye on motorcycling for sure.

The video isn't so bad if you watch it with Benny Hill theme music playing in your head.
