vin you and I bought our vfrs about the same time, logged in to the site pretty close to the same time, and are putting comparable mileage on them. mine had 33000 and now it's about to hit 38000. I was hoping to get another 2000 before changing tires, but I'm roasting them lately on a cool stretch of road I found. You really should see it, somewhere between 70-80 short turns in 5 or 6 miles. Great surface, too.

reg, I would love to see that road. I was shown a decent road here, hwy 227 just north of Georgetonw, KY. I don't think the map shows it well, but it has a number of curves that are fun. I rallied through most at around 55 - 60 mph, and for cars they are probably about 30 mph turns. I had a blast. However, most of my mileage is due to commuting about80 - 90 miles back and forth to work (round trip). But I still have fun doing it.

yeah, it's a pretty cool road and the best thing is it's close to home so I can go about 20 miles extra on my commute and take it to work and back home every day. :) you should load up your gear and ride your bike out here. it's onlya little over 2000 miles. :)

If things keep going like they are at work, I may not have a job too much longer and may just do that. But I'll be looking for work too. I have mentioned itin chat, but I soooo live in the worng part of the country. Seems the majority of vfr's on on the west coast. I know there aer some around here, but I never see them. They must be holed up in garages somewhere. lol

Bought my 86' last August w/ 22,000 on it; it now has 33,000 on it. Not bad for being in storage from the second week of November til' the last week of March.

My 97 has around 150k. Don't have a exact # with three differnt odometers after totaling it three times and bringing back to like new condition all though never have had to do motor/tranny work yet. Not even a valve adjust.

Thanks, Joe. I was beginning to think that so far I was gonna have the VFR with the most miles. lol. 150K is a lot. You sure have gotten your moneys worth from it, even with three rebuilds. And not haveing to do any motor/trany work is a testament to the sturdiness of the V-4. Congrats on the milestones, man. :first:

Even better if you look at my bike you would never guess it had any thing close to that amount of miles.

Well, Vin, if worse comes to worst, let me know what kind of work you do and I'll look around here. There is work to be had. It's kind of pricey to live here, but it can be done.

Just passed 31k miles on my 02 VFR. Had over 17k on my 99 VFR within the first 9 months though. Only put about 9k on the RC 51 in about a year before finally selling it. Like most of you I wish I could ride more!!

    VFRMike.

28,500 on my 1995. I had a few light years for riding since 2000, but I'm back commuting on it again.

That sounds great and I can shoot my # your way. I like to ride a short section on HWY 41 headed to Morro Bay. It's under 2 miles in length but it's a blast. You being from Atascadero would defininely know this section. It's just after the Cerro Alto Campground headed towards Morro Bay. The Naciemento Fergeson Loop is a nice on too- obviously very hot lately. Typically I will stop at the Hacienda and get a bite and a drink before heading out to HWY 1. See you out there.

    Mike.
