I've had a few members express hurt feelings for me because I state that I have numerous bikes. My questions is how many bikes do you have? I'll bet that my 5 bikes don't even put me in the top 20%.

If you have more bikes than me, good for you! I've noticed that some have 2 very cool bikes, and I hope that my ever fluctuating collection continues to serve it's purpose!

I'm down to 5 at the moment. Sold the Ducati, Kawasaki and Suzuki in the last month. (2 race bikes and 1 tour bike.) Got 1 VFR, 2 sohc 750's, 1 CT-90 and an RD400 vintage race bike.

I only have four at the moment, but I would like to have more. That counts the bikes I have bought for others, though. Since I am the maintenance man and the funds man, I count them, too. We are looking to buy a boat and a camper, and then I think our collection will be complete. I have no interest in getting an airplane, a snowmobile, or another jetski.

Jay Leno is the only celebrity I relate to as a person - I'd never stop buying cool cars/bikes if I had no garage or money limits.

Just one street ride for me at the moment. My 85 atc 350x trike takes care of my off road needs, but I know I'd like a dual sport in the furure with a set of street tires in reserve for days when I won't be off the road.

Of course if I had the choice I'd prefer to add a couple of other steeds to the barn too; Triumph 675, bmw rt, and a yamaha warrior just to piss my buddies off.

Point of order. If you pay for it, work on it, put it back together when someone else drops it....it's yours!:first:

WOW 14 bikes - DAMN dude are you going to setup a Motorcycle dealership - Actually I am jealous. I am no different than most. If I had the space and financial resources I would have a big collection. Currently I have three bikes (Suzuki Intruder, Honda GoldWing and Honda VFR), but I am selling the Suzuki Intruder. I have a prospective buyer for the bike and may end up selling it this week. I like having two bikes, so I can have a crusier for long distance and double up riding. I love my VFR and use it with the seat cowl for solo riding. I may sell my old 1983 Honda GoldWing, and upgrade to a 1998 - 2000 Honda Valkyrie (I love this big machine). There is also a possibility I may also try to find a used Honda F2 or F3 as a project to use for trackdays. So eventually I may end up with three bikes again which seems to be my physical and financial thershold. Damn 14 bikes - How do you decide what you feel like riding on any given day ;0) .

    I'm the poor stepchild

My fleet is only 2 in number,
05 VFR, and my beloved wire wheel 82 CB-650, last of the SOHC Honda fours.

Some time in the future I would like to get a BMW F650 Funduro, the one with the dual carbs! Wire wheels and a big single... so cool!

I knew you gents and Ladies were good company! I've had 9 bikes 8/sport, but I will admit to never having owned more than one machine at a time. It is why I am such a suck up to friends with dirtbikes/boats and other fun toys!:hail:

Its also why I have to buy the best all-rounder I can find, in this case the VFR!:caked: :blah::deadhorse:

I have had 5 at time once - I found that was pretty crazy, I am too much a mechanical perfectionist - everything has to be "at the ready". I'm down to just 2 for now and keeping these rides oiled, tyred, tuned, and maintained keeps me busy enuff.

Right now it's the '98 viffer and '99 Valkyrie. Each has its own personality. The Valky is a big ass honkin' goofy ride that just makes me laugh my ass off when I ride it. It is also incredibly competent cruiser/tourer or the fat lady that can dance. It's a lifelong keeper.

The viffer was built to be a mean ass corner carver that can spend a week in the mountains if you want. So far so good.....

    - What do I ride on a given day? I try to follow my mood, if I'm feeling mellow and just want to knock around the Valky usually fits the bill. If I am feeling hyper and maybe even a little pissed off. Jump on the viffer.

Then there been the occasion days where you start out on one and a little bit into the ride, and well, oh damn, this thing isnt getting it today. So I've turned around and went home and grabbed the other bike.

Yeah - I'm an afflicted one, the wack job fool, guilty, guilty, guilty.

    Keep the rubber down,

    MD

Cool GT. a friend painted both his GT 650 red just because he liked the look. Stan Slaggs and his wife both ride Red Z Rexs and GT650s. I wish my SV had the chassis of the GT!:first:
