One of the reasons why I am wondering how many of us are here is because I noticed that on the average there is only one or two posts per day on the 8th gen. forum.

That's because they're fairly new and haven't had time to fork up yet. I'm number 4. BTW, I want a service manual. Anyone know where one can be downloaded?

That's because we are out riding rather than posting.

Five, not much to post about the 8th Gen yet, they're probably going to go another few years before bits start failing and we have to start asking how to fix things. So we just enjoy riding them.

Well Buuba is at least 6th, so that makes me the 7th

Hey sdouble, how are you getting on with the MK2 Tex Rex frame sliders?

My MK1's are the perfect fit and provide a place to rest my knee on during long runs with my long legs

Being new bikes there isn't a lot to post about once you get favourite accessories and tyres out the way, which on mine are an Akropovic (decibel killer removed), Puig double bubble dark tinted screen, Ermax hugger, knee grips and frame sliders

Tyres, after 8,000 the OEM Dunlops suddenly went very unstable and needing a quick change put BT023's on both ends, first thought was how much more planted the bike became, we'll see as I'm off into the Welsh mountains tomorrow

There's a good write up on setting you suspension up, Dave Moss did it for a member at one of his classes and the guys saved the settings, I put mine to the same and found it very good

I totally agree since I put roughly 200 miles on my 8th gen this weekend. I can't really report anything on the bike other than they seem to have a very odd ability to be comfy, get great fuel economy and have PLENTY of power. My misses who grew up with Harley's even begrudgingly admits that she loves the bike too!

The 8th owners are apparently "the elite fleet". It's no longer price holding people back. I think VFR's, in general, are sold used until there's nothing left to them. That speaks to their durability. Compared to other Hondas, I think they have a small but cult following. Goldwings have a large cult following. I've never seen another 8th gen. on the road.

Looks like I'm the 10th. Just had mine in for first service, not had it long. Seen another on the road the other day going in the opposite direction and it catches the eye straight away
