Curious if anyone knows what the supposed top end is on a 2005 vfr? I used to have a 2000 vfr with a remus exhaust. At an altitude of about 5,000 feet I saw 165mph.... My new 05', at a lower elevation, stock pipes with luggage, loaded with weight, I saw 147mph on the speedo with 133 registered on my gps unit.

    What are/have others reached?

Just curious. DONT go out and try this to post your top speed....

150 ish is reasonable if you let her get out & stretch her legs for a few miles, I beleive I've either read here our else where that high 140's was pretty much the top for gen 5 & 6. W/ bags it will & should be somewhat less. I own a second gen so probably not much help but I've shown an "INDICATED" 165 but was probably an honest 150 +/-. VFR top speed seems to have remained fairly consistant through the years.

Update.... I reached 144 on my gps at 3,000 foot elevation with paniers attached but not loaded with weight. I think I'm good now.... At sea level I'd suspect that one could reach near 160 with no luggage and perhaps a low tank of gas.
