Not a problem, I converted my VFR to run on recycled cooking oil I get from Col. Sanders. There is a slight problem at low speeds with loose dogs that I should mention to be fair.

I got into an argument with a friend one time while he sat there for somewhere around a minute constantly shaking the end of the nozzle so he wouldn't get a single drop of gas on his tank.

    it was quite annoying.

so i think about it from time to time filling the tank.

i was just wondering if people are anal about not getting any fuel on the paint.

I never let fuel touch my bike. Was not as careful as I am now but after a hard lesson I am very careful now.

Yes I'm careful about filling my tank(gas or any chemical in my opinion is not good for paint),bike or Jeep. If people don't like waiting while I shake my nozzle at the pump,or in the bathroom, I'm not responsible for their impatience.

I have been simply tiping the nozzle up, all the drops go back into the nozel.

i saw a lady recently with the nozel in the car lift up the hose thinking she was getting all of the gas in the hose, not knowing that its cut off at the nozel, not the pump.

Get one tiny drop of fuel on a windshield. Toast.Fuel goes in the tank and no where else. You really do not have to be that careful just aware of the hazards of misplaced fuel......even if just a drop.

I hold the vapor recovery boot up and watch the gas as it nears the top. When I am topped off, I shake it a couple times (any more and you are playing with it). Then I use my free hand to cup under the nozzle as I clear the tank. If I get a drop on my hand, I wipe it on someone.
