Does anyone have a jack or hoist for a six gen.? If so, can you jack up on the exhaust under the bike. I'm worried about the weight of the bike damaging the exhaust. Is there a jig or support you can use?
I have done both and I recommend jacking using the exhaust more than the hoist. I ended up with a new dent in my tank after I lowered the hoist. I have jacked the bike up several times with no problems. I just get it high enough to get the front tire off and it's pretty stable if you can keep people away.
