I've been meaning to get around to this for a while but it's
    not really that bad.

My steering isn't straight, must of happened when the PO dumped it.

    How can I fixt this?

    thanks in advance.

    Rich-
Need more info. What's not straight? Are the forks bent/tweked or is it something like one bar closer to the tank? Pictures are a big plus in fixing/helping something like this.

I'll take a pic if this doesn't help.

Basically when the two handle grips are equal from the tank. So the
steering is perpendicular to the intended line of motion, the bike actually
    goes left. about 10 degrees.

    A fork adjustment?

I've checked the alignment with string or two long pieces of angle iron. Basically, if you run two lengths of string parallel with the back wheel they should be parallel with the front. If the bikes been down it might be worth a trip to shop that can check the frame. You can also take the fork tubes out and see if one has a slight bend to it.

The bike was dropped but not when it was moving, I really don't think
    the frame is bent.

Your right, in the original post you said the PO "dumped it". I was picturing it going down while moving. You could try loosening up the pinch bolts and axle and set the front wheel, like you do when changing the tire.

loosen but don't remove the front axle, the bottom fork pinch bolts, the upper clamp pinch bolts, and large steering stem nut....

then stand in front with your legs or an assistant holding the wheel straight and give a BIG twist on the handlebars toward the correction you want.
hold the position while you retighten all the fasteners ....starting with the upper clamp pinch bolts , the steering stem, the axle, and the bottom bolts only after bouncing the front suspension up and down a few times to center things up.....

this might work on your bike......l.or not. it worked for me on couple of bikes.

Take your bike to the nearest local authorized GMD Computrack shop and have them run a complete check, you might be surprised what they find.....
