It's a '98 VFR. Stupid newbie question, I know... But I just picked up the bike yesterday (used) and I didn't get the owner's manual. I need to get at the battery. I've read somewhere that there's some sort of special tool for removing it (?) in the toolkit, but that's under the seat... :-/ What do you do to get it off without said tool?

Hoping I get lucky and find the owner's manual under the seat,

just put the key in the helmet lock left under the seat. Open it and then pull the lever at the back of the lock all the way down.

With the other hand lift and pull the seat backwards ...

    Should be open now.
