Ok, I have a '07 RWB with CF Leo Vince pipes and OEM bags.
The saddle is roasting after an hour of riding, or less if ambient temp is 85 or higher.

Is there any proven means of reducing the heat soak from the exhaust and motor?
The motor is running 220 degrees on hot days with peaks of almost 240.

I'm contemplating wrapping the pipes and adding another layer of aluminized fiberglass cloth under the seat to reflect more heat away.

Is the engine running so hot because it is leaning out? Oem air filter and cat. should keep the air flow through the motor at normal levels.

Love the bike, just trying to make it more enjoyable through the warm weather on longer trips.

    Thanks.

    Todd

Mine runs the same temps.I did a search and all the 07 VFR run hot like that.As far as the seat I'm not sure.I have a Sargent seat on my bike and I don't notice it getting warm...But i have the stock exhaust but its a partial gut...

I get alot of heat from the right side peg and have been in 110+ ambient temps but have not noticed the seat getting hot.Every other part was toasty but the seat...no. Is it a metal backing on the seat?
