    Hey guys,

while rebuilding my 84 VF1000F I had the carbs removed, cleaned out and reinstalled. Started the engine and it ran nice on idle. Problem is: There is a hose left over. In the Clymer manual on page 4-9 the is a picture of the half dissambled carbs and a marker points to the "air joint pipes". Well, I have no idea what to do with the open ends. I even didn't notice a hose on them when I removed the carbs. Within the reinstallation I fitted a hose on them but I actually have no clue where to connect them to. Can anybody help? Here's the picture from the manual:

    Thanks a lot!

They are the float bowl vents and are opened to atmosphere, the factory had a little black plastic breather on the end of the hose in your generation.
