Honda VF500F Restoration Project 1986

Hi Folks

I am new to the forum and just wanted to share something with all of you.

I am living in the UK and I am restoring a US import 1986 VF500F.
For a bit of fun I started a blog on the restoration progress.
I am hoping it will benefit anyone who is busy with or is going to be restoring one of these great little bikes.
If you would like to , please follow the blog and add any constructive comments and advice because I am still learing too. I am new to blogging also.
I add to the blog when I can and carry on with the project when I have a bit of time and money.
I hope that you will enjoy the blog as I mean it only to be fun and possibly informative.

Great project. I also restored an '86 500 a few years back to absolute mint condition. One thing I did was add a top end oiling kit and a Lockhart full fairing. It now looks like a mini VF1000R. Good luck with the project and I can't wait to see the finished result.

 

Thanks for looking. I'm going to be selling some stuff on ebay to try to free up some cash to buy paint and a spray gun. Hopefully with a bit of luck I can be spraying soon.

hello I have a engine here VF500F interceptor repair and not the position of the camshaft is my first bike is my dream someone could please help my English is not very good sorry

 

If you give me a few days I can take a picture of my current camshaft position.
