Just a stab in the dark but I'm wondering if anybody has any idea of Hondas' total bike production per year or any other manufacturer for that matter. Royal Enfield in India are claiming they will produce 620,000 bikes in 2016, now I find this a bit of a stretch because that equates to 1698 bikes produced per day 365 days of the year. That is a lot of batteries that need to be fitted everyday
Holy shit. That's a lot of bikes ... regarding Honda, here's what Wikipedia says: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Honda "Honda is the largest motorcycle manufacturer in Japan and has been since it started production in 1955.[12] At its peak in 1982, Honda manufactured almost three million motorcycles annually. By 2006 this figure had reduced to around 550,000 but was still higher than its three domestic competitors.[12]"
Thanks Jeff, the world must have been craving out for motorcycles back in the eighties, I guess it was around there that a lot of Asian countries coming out of the darkness and in need of transport.
