Hey everyone. I've been looking at buying a new motorcycle since the summer, but I was always lacking funds. I was initially looking at a Ducati Monster S2R1000, but recently got a job at a Honda motorcycle dealership as a parts guy, and the VFR pushed its way into my head, kicked the Ducati out, and its stuck in me ever since. Ill be picking one up as soon as the "Winter" passes.

Anyway just wanted to let you all know that I work in the parts department at Sport Honda in Metuchen, NJ, so if anyone needs to find out a part number, prices, etc. you can always P.M. me and ill do my best to get back to you as soon as I can. You can e-mail me as well.

I've been reading the forums for a while, and all of you seem like good people, so I hope you accept me as one of your own, and maybe you CA guys can meet up with me when I finally make that trek from NJ to the left coast.

Hey, you sound like a VFR guy already. I am in NYC and look foward to meeting fellow VFR riders. Stay in touch I am interested in doing some distance riding and like getting a small group (3 - 5 riders) together. I want to get to some of the Pa and Florida Rallies, and maybe the Junebug Boogie Rallly in Tn. Also, riding out to the Jersey shore and partying is a great think also.

I rode a little with my two very good friends when my 1980 Honda CB650 was still running, but after it took a crap and it became very expensive to replace parts, Ive just decided to get a new bike. I got the old honda for only 250, so it was nice to at least learn on it.

My one friend rides an R6 and the other a 996, which was my inspiration to initially buy a monster, but after looking at parts prices for ducati and the labor charge, at my current financial standing, I wont be able to afford one as an everyday bike. I plan to ride the VFR year round as long as its not snowing or raining in the winter, and the ducati arent well known for longevity.

Anyway thank you for welcoming me to the forum. Im at the shore pretty much every day or night, regardless of weather or season, so as soon as I get my bike well make a big beach bash somewhere.

Hey Reg71. Yea that sounds like a plan. My best friend is moving to Cali this spring, and a close family friend of mine goes to Berkley, and I havent seen her in a few years as well. I really want to take a trip across this summer, so well have to see what comes along.
