Does anyone here with a vfr or hawk gt have them on their bike? I really like the look of them, not sure how heavy they are though. Here's a link to a bike with them on... look for all new modified R25

If you take a close look at that Yamaha you'll see the rear wheel is held on with a large center nut. Similar to the RC 30 & VFR400. The DN-01 & other late model Hondas with single sided swing arms use a 5 bolt lug pattern to mount the wheel. My guess is the wheel on the Yamaha has been to a machine shop once or twice. The bike also appears to have the swing swapped for single sided unit as well. If you're going to attempt it you would definitely want the hub & carrier from the donor bike.

Yes, it was interesting that the wheel is a 5 bolt , but seems like they covered the holes and used the center hole. They have used what looks like the vfr400 hub and swing arm. From what I understand, it fits the new vfr with 5 bolt pattern hub. I have been looking for someone with the wheel to confirm. I do like the wheels, but it looks like a lot of work and a pricey one too! They would look like nice though! I still wonder if there is anyone from the site that may have attempted or has swapped the wheel on a VFR.

I would venture to say that if anyone has done that mod, it would have been posted. For that amount of work to not be done in "secret" would be a rarity and a shame. We post pics and mod posts on just installing a new exhaust can (guilty as charged) but I would imagine a tasteful mod like a hub/wheel swap would be something to be proud of. Who knows maybe someone did it without looking for praise. I have seen a few post where a Ducati single nut wheel was installed. I hope you find your answer and will post up your mod if you end up going for it.
