Hello all!! Happy Holidaze!!! My work shuts down today until Jan 5th so I was going to try the partial gut exhaust mod during this time. My question is what size hole saw do I need to buy to cut around the exhaust tube that comes off the can?? Also does anyone have any drawings or plans on how I can make a fender eliminator for my bike myself?? It can't be that hard, the holes are there already to use, and I could wire in an LED plate light or something right?? Anyway I am also trying to organize a ride from Lake Elsinore to San Juan Capistrano and back on the Ortega Highway (74) on Saturday January 3rd if anyone is interested, PM me.

Howdy Chuckman; Are you wanting to open up the muffler so the exhaust flow goes straight thru without any baffling? First off, if thats the case you will also need some type of an extension for your hole saw to go through the entire muffler. However, before you go to all this hassle, opening up the mufflers in such a way may overly lean out your fuel mixture and actually cause the bike to loose some horsepower. I dont claim to be all knowing but before you cut holes in your mufflers ,you may want to get a set of nice slip ons and also get a power commander or the like. I THINK YOU WILL BE MUCH HAPPIER WITH THE LATTER. eddie

1 1/2in you better buy a good one if not you won't make it through both cuts. Also will need about 30 dremel cut off wheels. It took a little longer than I thought it would. But has been so worth the little money I put out vs aftermarket slipon. And you will love how it sounds. Good luck

Well, it took me a few hours but the job is done. I took my bike for a quick 45 min ride and DAMN!! I feel like the I unleashed some sort of medieval beast! It has a cool throaty howl to it now. Sounds great and worth the time. New muffler gasket, $18, about 25 heavy duty dremel cut off disks, $5, hole saw, $10, new sound of an unleashed BEAST! PRICELESS!! Thanks for the help VFRworld...
