Bought from NewEnough.com for $168 shipped and this was the best price I found. I have used HJC helmets for some time now b/c I just dont feel the need to pay top $$ for Arai, Shoei, Bell, etc. I believe HJC is made by the same company that makes Shoei and some other helmets. Was interested in the Shoe RF1000 & 1100, but wasn't happy with the pricing on the former model and the color and size combination I needed became very hard to find.

My previous helmet was a CL-15. Squeezed 3 riding seasons out of it. The brow liner piece that snaps into the helmet at the face opening kept popping out, leaving a crease in my forehead that needed more than rubbing to take out. For $100, the helmet did what it had to, but I didnt want to replace it with the same.

Overall, the FS-15 is a lighter helmet, a carbon fiber version is manufactured that weighs even less, but $100 more.
It has a 'silver cool' lining inside, it's "removable moisture-wicking and odor-free interior with advanced silver anti-bacterial fabric". Went riding in 90F weather on Sunday, I sweat alot but not so bad with this helmet. Perhaps it was a combination of helmet venting design and the silvercool?

I bought the helmet after comparing the sizing charts with my head measurement - ended up with a large. the cheek pads are too thick and really squeeze them. Replacement pads are available but for $30, but I'll wait until mine are worn down.

It has a breath deflector that snaps into place and it easily unsnaps itself if grabbed on when moving the helmet or putting on/off.

Shield comes on and off easily. An anti-fog insert is available and snaps into place on the shield which is fitted with post pins. They also come tinted. I may consider the option in the future for long trips with unexpected humidity and rain conditions.

I will follow up with more on this review in about a month or 1000 miles.

    Welcome to HJC Helmets

Got the yellow, it's nice finish and not into graphics.

    HJC is made in Korea.

    Shoei is made in Japan.

They are not the same company.

    KC-10 FE out...
