HIT THE JACKPOT!!! (i hope)

Ok so i was at work yesterday fixing a customers phone and when i went under his house (huge crawl space) i noticed he had what looked to be a 98 or 99 Honda CBR covered under the house.

well on departing the customers house i saw in the garage a brand new Z06 and asked the cust if he replaced the bike with the Z06 (jokingly of course) and he said yeah pretty much. then continues to inform me that the bike has been sitting for about 4 years covered and he didn't know what to do with it.

so when im about to leave i told the cust that if he can't figure out what he wants to do with the bike to give me a call cuz me and my buddies work on bikes. as soon as i got done saying this the cust got this surprised look on his face and said well if you want to come by and pick it up then it is yours!!!!!

so i said thank you so much ill come get it Tuesday with the truck and the only request that he had after everything was said and done was that i was to bring it by when i get it running. ( i mean who can turn down a free bike?!?!)

so now that you have heard the story i am looking forward to seeing how this project ends up and i am always open to any suggestions!

 

I had almost the same thing happen with an old CBR1000F Hurricane. These finds make the best kinds of projects. Dump some seafoam in every orifice, that's my 2c! Good luck and post some pics!
