hi my names Lee from Brisbane Australia , Just bought a 84 vf 500 interceptor , havin a few dramas with it so i thought i might join the site , and get some info . Heard a tappin noise 2 weeks after I bought it took the valve covers off and the rear timing chains very sloppy so what i have read on this site it sounds like its the tensioner is stuffed so which brings me to my other problem went to the honda shop today and found out because they r a imported bike honda australia dosnt have any stock for the bike so if anyone can recommend a site for parts that would be awesome .

Welcome, if you need any help with parts or shipping I would be glad to help oot. It may not be a bad idea to remove the suspect tensioner and inspect it for damage, they tend to get a bit of wear on the rod where the lock contacts it and can get stuck. Shame it is not a 700 as I have a spare set you could have. Post a pic when you get a chance.
