An overdue "Hello" from a long-time VFR owner - I bought my '90 (based on the glowing reviews of the time), slightly used (1500 miles) somewhere around '92, and it has served me well. I still have it. Around 2000, I got the new bike bug and came very close to buying a Y2K VFR. I ended up fighting the bug for another year, but ended up buying a '01 Aprilia Falco, which I still have. I had promised the '90 to a family member. Since they were stationed overseas, I was to keep it (and ride it) for a year or 2 for them. A medical issue on their part eventually prevented that deal from going through. But, I didn't mind, since I was starting to regret eventually having to let the bike go. As much fun as the Falco is - and it is (!), it seems I still enjoyed riding the Viffer, and found it more comfortable for the 3 or so longer trips we do each season. I ran across VFRW a few years ago and would occasionally browse here. Long story short, I found and bought an exceptionally clean, low mileage Y2K VFR last fall that I found in the VFRW classifieds. Kind of made up for passing on the new one in 2000. At this point I'd love to keep all 3, but only have garage space for 2, though I have temporary garage space at a friends home. The exceptionally clean '90 has been in the classifieds for a while, looking for a good home. In the past people have made offers on the bike, when I wasn't ready to sell. Must be the economy. Regardless, look forward to checking in occasionally. Great site.

The 2000 is a great bike. Lots of extra character for a bike oozing with character to begin with. Thanks for the belated intro.
