hi my name is tim need help with my 86 vfr700 f2

    Hello my name is tim my vfr700f2 1986 it will start and run everytime but after it warms up if I shut it off and try to start it it just cranks and cranks untill it cools down then will start and run again never seen anything like it. I have replace battery , stator , R/R. And still nothing I am at a loss any one have any idea what it might be dont wont to give up on her it is my first bike and only had her 8 months or so. Any help will be very thankful.

    Could be vapor locked. Check the carb vent hoses.

    Does it fire at all? Any pops or misfires? If not, it is electrical, probably a faulty switch, or corroded connectors.

    I think I found it I got a muiltmeter and did all the test on ignition sytem out of service manual and found out my pulse generator for cyld no 1/ no 3 wont read any resistance and no.2 /no.4 read low like 410 420 ohm witch according to service manual is bad now to find some replacement s lol

    Pick up coils are known to be heat-sensitive, and weak ones usually only fail after the engine reaches operating temperature. Seems like you maybe forgot to check for sparks first thing ? :eek-new:
