Well I finally got my replacement link pipe copied from my home brewed one. The pics tell the story

Pipe was made by NRP in the UK for those that may be interested.

Dimensions please! I'm not in the UK, but I badly need a link pipe that actually fits, unlike my current one.

Well I would send dimensions, but its difficult, hence I made the original & sent that as a template for the exhaust guys to copy. The shape makes it really difficult to measure. Both bends are 45degrees, the bottom bend is at 45degrees to the fore/after line of the bike, so if looked on from above sitting on bike, the bottom bend points to between 10-!-11 o'clock, with the top bend pointing at 6 o'clock toward rear of bike.

I had to cut 6mm off the end at the top to get the can to match with the rear bracket I had added before.

Yeah, the compound bend at the header is what messes my Delkevic up, they got it totally wrong. Do you still have the centerstand fitted?

Yep CF wheels both ends.

No risk of melting the plastic? Was thinking about doing the same with mine.

 

Well my Ti can is very good at keeping the heat back. Last summer in 32c heat I could touch the can with bare hand after a spirited run. Thousands have done this & back in its day many companies made a hi level end can kit. So IMO no heat problem.

 

Ah, my can is not TI though so guess I can't do this (vance and hines SS2R)

 

Most of the cans used previously were carbon/alloy or SS. So any can can be used.

 

100% sure there will be no issue? My can has got pretty hot on longer rides.

Is it possible to just ceramic coat the inside of the can? Worth doing?
