Hey all. new to the forum and new to the VFR. I've wanted one for years and now after the death of my drz I am looking to pick a new 2014 non-deluxe tomorrow after work. I'm surprised a local dealer to me is still getting these from honda. I've been riding since 2012 and I'm super excited to get on a bike better suited for commuting and my desire to do longer rides than what was comfortable on my drz. anyways I'll be trying to read as much as I can on the 8th gen VFR in this forum to see what else I can learn apart from using google fu.
Welcome Leoffensive! Can’t go wrong with the 8 Gen, seems more and more people are finding great deals on NOS at dealerships. Once you get settled in and get some miles on your new bike, I’m sure you’ll find the VFR a lot more of a bike than the DRZ. Nothing wrong with the DRZ, just the sport-touring aspects of the VFR make it an all day ride with loads of fun to go along with it.
Yea I had been wanting to get another bike to commute with for a while. But yea most bikes will be a lot more than the drz. I had ridden the new water cooled bonneville a while back and that thing felt like a damn freight train. But the vfr is the only full fairing sport bike I like. My favorite thing about it is that it’s more refined for riding on the road instead of balls to the wall super sport .
