    Hi from Australia.

I have my 3rd VF now after a long time without one.

Had a VF750F from new when it was released in the UK.
Did a mod on the engine to stop the CAM wear issue.
Sold that and then purchased another in late 1980's

Had a Fireblade 954 for several years.

After about about 10 years without a bike, back on a VFR800Fi 1998, and love the V4 motor.

Have had a few other brands but you cant beat Honda for build quality and reliability.

    Hi all,

    Pictures were requested so

    VFR800Fi 1998-1.jpg

    VFR800Fi 1998-2.jpg

I purchased the bike a few weeks ago and they guy was using it for commuting, it needs some TLC and has some corrosion that need to be addressed.

I am wanting to probably respray the wheels and have decided on soda blasting to get rid of corrosion on the mag wheels.

Will paint them as its easier to fix any future stone chips.

Will be servicing the bike and also changing the fuel filter and giving the tank a good inspection.

My other bike I had to do a major rebuild on the carb, because the previous owner left ethanol fuel in the tank.

    Cheers Paul.
