I am getting my 86 700 ready to ride this year. This new to me bike is going to replace my 1978 SR500 Yamaha. Last year I finally decided that I don't like kick starting the old girl.

My Honda is pretty normal for a bike of this vintage. The engine and drivetrain are in pretty good shape. The body work shows evidence of past crashes. The mufflers are slipons with one side a bit bunged up. One of the fork tubes is seeping. The front tire is a 100/90 Duro (double bad) The rear tire is a new Avon. My plan this year is to repair those issues and do some riding of our excellent low traffic ridge roads.

I am an older rider who in the early 80's was fortunate to be able to afford club road racing. Raced at Wentzville, Blackhawk, Elkhart Lake, Grattan, IRP, and Road Atlanta. When I turned 50 I started racing bicycles. I think that the racing is behind me and I just want to cruise around. I was looking for VTR1000 but this VFR showed up locally it was pretty cheap so now I am a VFR rider. I am waiting for warmer weather.....
