Hi, wanted to give a shout out, I've got a new to me 1987 VFR 700 that I purchased last month. Been tooling around getting used to the bike since it's been about 15 years since I've been on 2 wheels. Now looking for my own gear since I'm using my friends stuff. Got my own helmet, right now looking for a textile jacket and gloves. I'm a larger person - 6'4" 260 lbs so any advice from anyone would be much appreciated. Looking over this site for any info. Thanks.
congrats and welcome. I bought some of my stuff from newenough.com and tonker.com, but I also go with ebay quite a bit when Im looking for stuff.
Welcome to the group. reg made some good suggestions for places to look. I use bikebandit.com and denniskirk.com as well as ebay when I look for gear. There are other places like ridegear.com as well. Sometimes you can find some real good deals at soem or all of these sites.
Just for comparisons sake, here's what I have been looking for lately. A leather jacket. An ICON Retro Daytona is $450 at my dealer, newenough sells for $361-$380, and ebay for $349 from Motorcycle Accesory Warehouse, they are probably the same on their website, I didn't look there.
