Just got my first VFR last week. 03, silver with matching hard bags. Great site here. Anyone from Edmonton ? Also, I am 5'6". Will helibars help in making things a shorter reach to the bars? I get a bit stiff after riding a bit which I am not used to but my FJ1100 was never this tiring. That bike was more upright and very comfortable. Any tips?
Hello and welcome Rob. Yes, Helibars will help you out. My Viffer (5th gen) doesn't tire me out more than my previous bikes whatsoever, in fact, it is much more comfortable than them. Maybe the windblast is tiring you out. Try looking an aftermarket double-bubble or touring windscreen. BTW, we have several folks from Edmonton on here. There is a thread around here with all of you canucks on it gabbing up a storm, about things like invading the US, and forcing us to change to the metric system....hahahaha
I plan on trying both modifications. Need to get them during the winter so it's ready next spring. Thanks guys.
I will be invading the USA next year. Maybe I should mod my bike up into a "Battling VFR" . Guns, rockets and some armor! I wonder if it would affect the handling? LOL!
Many Canucks still do invade you every winter. Fro the life of me I cannot figure out why. Welcome Edmonton. You must be just about ready to put the ride up on blocks for the winter. Would be a bitch riding a bike with square tires. Only those from Edmonton and Winnipeg would understand that. Go Lions.
