Hi, from WestCoast Canada. Hey guys, My name is Matt and I've been lurking this thread for a couple of years and figured that I should sign up. I've got a 1986 Honda VFR 750 that I've owned for 4 years. In the past 3 months I've almost completely rebuilt her (rotors, pads, ss lines, bearings, valves, carbs, lights, rubber, etc) I live right by the WA, USA border in the lower mainland of BC, Canada so if anyone wants to go for a ride let me know my bike is my summer DD. Matt PS: If anyone is up for helping me out with an F3 wheel conversion in the lower-mainland I gots cash and beer! And no I didn't paint it, it was the only vfr I could find at the time. lol
Its OK that you didn't paint it. Whoever did obviously knew that yellow was the fastest. Welcome aboard!
I still have and am riding/working on the FG. But a deal came my way on an FT that I couldn't pass up.
That bike is no better than a Vespa...unless it is ridden. You have that beauty insured and on the road yet? That looks to be in fabulous shape except for the boo boo pon the right side. Is it restored or just well looked after?
What's wrong with a Vespa? :uncomfortableness: They're not fully insured yet. Just day permits when the weather allows. The 96 has 95k on it. I haven't really dug into it yet to see where the valves or compression is at but I put 3 hours on it a couple days ago with no major hiccups, other than running slightly rich, most of the cluster bulbs are out, the speedometer appears to not be accurate and the steering head bearing appears to be squeaking. I was an all season rider for about 10 years. Now I just ride when it's nice. Don't worry though, my vehicles are rigorously maintained.
