    need a quick fix for my 86 700 found a leak on the fuel pump were it is pressed together

    Hey

    Okay never heard of this before.The best thing is to buy a new one but if you want a quick fix.Buy a tube witch is called metalglue on english I think.Works like when you put on metal it hardens and becomes as strong as the metal.Used it on my tank when it leaked haven´t had any problems after that(that was 10 months ago).

    The pump is shot, look around for a used pump. the J and B of JB Weld stands for Just Barely.

    He wanted a quick fix.Not repair.The best thing would to buy a new or used pump but that is not a quick fix.If he is trapped somewhere a cannot wait for a pump.Then I would suggest to take a fuel line straight from the tank to the carbs with filter on of course.My pump is not in use on my bike but that is VF700F 84.
