I can't reply to the PM you sent me, because it says your storage space is full, but I will tell you what's going on. When removing my carbs to clean the idle jets I somehow broke the tab that the screw goes through that holds all the carbs together. I don't see any other way to correct this besides either replacing that one carb or the whole set. Your thoughts?

    Thanks, Donnie carbs.JPG

    OUCH !!!|

    JB Weld maybe ??

    I'll empty my inbox.

Maybe get some ebay carbs, sell what you don't need cuz you only need that one carb.

Just wondering why you removed the airbox bottom from the carb set ??

If it were mine, I'd JB the broken piece back on and use a star lock washer under the retaining screw.

I will try that, thanks for the tip...I removed the airbox set from the carbs because it never even occurred to me that you could remove all of it in one piece. I just removed the fuel tank and worked my way down from there. There are a set of carbs on ebay for a vfr 700, are they the same as the 750?

Mine is broken in the same place, and has been for some time. I put a star washer under the screw and it hasn't given me any trouble......yet. its been that way since last summer

The 2 side screws help keep the fuel tubes and their O-rings from leaking.

Without seeing it in the flesh, so to speak.
I didn't know what it did.
I'm at work at the moment and dont have access to my spare set to compare.

Mine was broken when I got my bike and it's still broken. A fat washer and screw seems to hold them together just fine.

If you have the broken piece, why not have it welded back on? A welder could probably TIG weld it back together.
