I just bought my first VFR. Its a 1992 nc30 400, less than a day after purchase it has defiled itself on the way home from work.
Once it is going its fine but then it randomly cuts out and i have to wait for up to 30mins for it to start again.
Then the next day it goes no problem , until i went to show it off to one of my friends .
turned it off and it wouldnt even sound as though it was sparking.
And today he rings me and says its going , Has this ever happened to anybody else?
    Has anybody got any suggestions?
Have i just bought a lemon?
ANY HELP would be great. Its nice to ride when it goes and i like it heaps!
    cheers jazza

A friend of mine had the exact same problem with his 88 Ninja. It was a bad igniter,(I believe its also called the ignition module.) It looks similiar to a regulator/rectifier.
He bought a used one from a salvage dealer, put it in the bike and the problem was solved.
