Welcome and nice picture on the front page. Back in 84 on my first outing on my 84 Interceptor we left Laguna and just rode...funny we ended up at crater lake. still remember that awesome trip like it was yesterday. ride well and be safe
I think he is an impostor! No pix, no real VFR'r. Post'm pal! Welcome to this den of unruliness and insanity. Gotta run now. They are looking for me with restraints in hand.:bolt:
Another newbie here, me- Sergiu from Romania (that is in Europe - for the americans), I do not own a vfr yet... I am trying to make my mind up 5th or 6th generation? And I am waiting for the cash to come in... untill then I am studying here to figure things out... I introduce myself here, so I would not start another thread. Cheers!
Welcome Serg, first off do you have a budget ? second look at both---checking maintenance---ever been dropped--- extras on the bike and of course mileage---- take your time and don't jump right away and anything you see. ALWAYS bring an experienced motorcyclist with you checking out the bikes---always good to have two sets of eyes-Good luck
Thanks mate! I do not want to spend too much over 3000 euros, and I saw on a forum in Ro few bikes that are around 3000 and swing from 2002 -2004 having from 28000km - 50000km with and without cases. I understood that the suspension of the 5th gen is softer and the frame of the 6th is improved. My concern would be the engine... gear driven distribution or chain? V tech vs non v tech... Is realy v tech so helpful on the gas mileage?
I get 200 miles to a tank on my 2002--- the vtec is awesome and I'm sure that when I get the PCV it Will be even more awesomer (I know, my word) . Don't really have anything to compair non-vtec to mine. I'm sure you will get more people to chime in like Tinker with allot more experience with motors and different years.
