I don't have a VFR yet but I am lusting after a gen 5 model something fierce. Gotta pay off student loans first but until then at least I have my 85 nighthawk to tool around on.

Welcome. There's plenty of expertise hereabouts; pull up a chair and relax...

Thanks. It will likely be a couple of years until I can get my VFR but here's what I have to tide me over:

Did a round headlight conversion with some custom brackets to hide the wires under the gauges.

It is a 1985 CB700sc. It's a fun bike but I look forward to something more modern. Fuel injection would be awesome come springtime.

Welcome, lots of great info here.
    Nice bike by the way.
My first big bike experience was riding a friends Honda 750 Bol 'Dor
Compared to my little Rd 250 it was big, smooth and scary

Yeah, I am happy with it so far.. Especially considering I only paid $280 for it originally and all it needed was a new choke cable, new air filter, and a carb cleaning to run. I probably should have replaced the tires right away but no incidents occured and now it has new shoes.

though painting it twice has probably added some cost along with the round headlight conversion.
