I've been trying to get my 84 vf500f shifter to work. Without the shifter mechanism installed it shifts fine by turning the drum. With the mechanism on the LH outside shihter cover, it refuses to shift. I've looked and looked in the mauuals and it seems to be installed correctly. I can't get my mind around whats going on. I'm hoping someone mechanictly inclined in the raleigh/Durham area of N.C. can help me figure this out. I'm willing to pay for the help to come here and see it.
