    Good morning people,

I have been getting a blinking on an of on the fault indicator light. Bike is running great just bought it about a month ago. It is a 2000 model.
Anyway I used a jumper wire and pulled the code. This is were I am having my problem in reading the code.

This is what I am seeing, a steady blink all the same never varying, no 1.3 then 0.5 all the same over and over. Now am I reading this according to the manual
as continuing to light,? short circuit indicator wire, short circuit in service check indicator wire, or faulty ecm.?

Or is this 1 blinks, loose or poor contacts on the manifold pressure sensor(map)Open or short circuit in map sensor wire, faulty map sensor.?

Bike only has 10,500 miles on it. It has two brothers exhaust .

I tried to explain this the best I could, Any help would be much appreciated, thanks in advance. Ron... PS I am loving this bike.

If the bike runs then use the procedure to look for current codes.

If you have done work to fix something you may need to clear any old codes, as it may be warning about something which has been fixed.

Code 1 should mean faulty MAP sensor or wiring.
