My bike was vandalized 10 days ago; while I still (thankfully) have the bike, they made a mess of the clocks. I have searched the web extensively over the last 10 days looking for replacements (it is the cowling and glass cover they broke), but I cannot find replacements. So, if anyone has a set of clocks lying around (or knows where there might be one breaking), then I would really appreciate letting me know.

    Thanks in advance,

    Rory

    Hey roryforde

So sorry to hear about the damage to your bike. Nothing in my opinion is more annoying and frustrating than some goof destroying other peoples property for the heck of it. If only you could catch the bugger who did the damage and..................... well, we can leave that for another discussion.

Not sure if the country of origin makes a difference on the parts unless you're purchasing the actual gauges themselves. A friend of mine who owns my last bike, also a 97 VFR750 (Canadian version), had to order the parts you are asking about last year and was able to purchase them (new OEM) through HondaPartsNation in the US. Here is a link to the site. I think the parts you are looking for are parts #5 (37102-MZ7-008) for $119.08, and part #7 (37104-MZ7-008) for $28.06.

I'm not exactly sure if you want to purchase the parts new or not but I think you may have less trouble getting these parts as opposed to finding a new gauge cluster. I have ordered parts from this supplier on a couple of occasions and they always had great prices, and their shipping charges were lower than some others and the parts were always quick to arrive. Being from overseas I don't know what the shipping charges would be but it is likely a new cluster, even a used one, might wind up costing you more than just the parts and then you might have a different reading on the odometer to deal with and whether or not the gauge cluster from one country to another would be compatible (not sure about this).

Hope this info helps and good luck with the repairs.

Thanks Zoom.. there is a similar website on this side of the pond (Lings Honda Parts); I ended up getting a damaged clock and butchering it to get some parts for mine - its not perfect, but will get me back on the road for now and buy me some time to look for a more complete solution..
