    Hey all,

Doing some garage cleanout, and I have this VFR shock.

I think its an Ohlins, at least the spring is, although the body has a Racetech sticker.

I believe its for a Gen 3 VFR.

I plan to sell it, if anyone here is interested also.

NOT a Gen 3. Or 4 for that matter. Or 5. Or 6.

Looks more like a late model stock CBR shock. It is NOT an Ohlins shock.

Hmm, I wonder what the heck brand it is. Measures around 325-328mm eye to eye, which as far as VFRs go would mean its a gen 4 from what I can gather.

It sure looks like a stock Honda shock with an Ohlins spring on it. And someone plastered Racetech stickers on the body. Maybe it has Race Tech Valving in it?

There is not a stock VFR shock that has an attached reservoir like that.

Ah, I bet you're right. It's fully adjustable, has compression and rebound adjusters (one on top, one on the bottom) but just the ramp style preload adjuster.

I thought I had something good, haha!

That bottom black collar looks possibly custom to accommodate a shorter than stock spring.

Ah, that makes sense. Thank you!

This came with a lot of RC51 parts I bought a few years back, but was told the shock came from a VFR... I never did the project so they just collected dust.
I have SP2 forks so it would make sense this is an SP2 shock.
