I'll try to make this short, but its been quite a trip...so here's what I got: Bike was hard to start, choke not working properly, finally wouldn't start at all. Drained tank, pulled carbs, rust in tank, crap in carbs, cleaned carbs (ultrasonically) new float seats and needles O-rings etc. cleaned and sealed the tank, took time(weeks) to do a good job. reassembled (what a PITA) but got all back together ok. Bike wont start! GGggrrrrrrrrr! Fuel pump not working? Read posts on internet trying to troubleshoot. Bypassed pump, bike starts!!! YEA!!! sounds great BUT........ idling at 3-4 grand. Backed off throttle stop as far as I could, no help there, I did not mess with ANY adjustment screws when I disassembled the carbs. Read the shop manual to see what else to do but cant find where it specifically addresses this issue? Calling ALL experienced carb gurus and anyone eles that knows what my next move is? Bike = 1985 VF700F Thanks in advance for any guidance!!!
