Wondering if anyone knows of a mechanic or shop that can fix my bike. I had a guy install a stage one dynojet kit on my 90 and he did a lousy job. I don't want to go back to him due to my total lack of confidence in his ability and the fact that he put a chip in the paint of my tank.

I know, I went cheap and now I'm gonna pay for it.

The bike runs extremely flat up to 8k and completely falls flat beyond that. No idle issues or popping on decel so I'm thinking it's running too rich?

I don't have the skill set to fix this and I'm looking to find someone in the Seattle area that I can trust to dial it in correctly?

    Help!

Dude almost certainly installed the (one or more) vaccum diaphrams improperly (pinched, misaligned) so the vaccum slides don't lift as they should.

    I'll bet you$$ on this one !

Dude, +1 to what the squirrelman said. Sounds like you have the same problem that I just had. Check out my thread: Loss of Throttle Responsiveness. I had a duel problem. 1, I was missing spark on #3, and 2, not all of my slides were working correctly. I had no power. All is fixed now. Hope it helps.

I have another mechanic looking the bike today. I should have mentioned that mechanic #1 also adjusted the valves. Mechanic #2 thinks that #1 may have one of the cams out of time. He is going to check this today. I will also fill him in on the information you guys have provided in case that is the issue.

Thanks for the feedback and stay tuned for the conclusion of my little f'd up adventure.

I found that even installed correctly, the stage 1 dynojet kit didn't work properly in my 91. I had to find a new set of slides to replace the ones they instruct you to drill out and then things were better. It was a costly and disapointing venture.
