Took the bike out yesterday, made a few stops, everything was fine. Swng by a buddy's place and we chatted for about an hour. Went to get back on the bike and it fired up, but idled like crap. Finally stalled and I had no electrical system anywhere. No dash lights, turnsignals, horn, etc... Wouldn't start either. Took the seat off and started poking around. Battery had lots of juice. Pressed down on the main fuse box in front of the negative terminal and my lights came back on. Put the seat back on and rode home.

Just went to the grocery store for a couple things and the bike ran fine. Went to start it after getting my groceries and it was the exact same thing all over again. Pressed down on the large connector running into that main fuse box and got juice back up to the front of the bike. What do I need? Bike is a '96.

the connector is a weak point. If you removed it and inspected it, you'd probably find it's melted. If it isn't yet, it will be if you keep riding it like that. The connector makes poor connection which drives up the amperage. More amps = more heat. More heat = melted plug. Also likely to = a fried R/R in no time flat too. Wire My Bike for replacement parts.

    Thank you!

Quick question though - is the product I need the VFRness? Or do I need something else as well?
