    How Stupid are People!

This is simple and straight forward advice! If you do not know how to pick out the right helmet that fits your head, then you should not own or ride a motorcycle! Also if your thinking of buying a motorcycle and you don't know how to pick and buy the right helmet then don't buy a motorcycle it's common sense!

It's common sense the helmet should be snug against your face and should not move on your head when you shake it.

COMMON SENSE does anyone ever use it or are people just idiots, for all the money Jay Leno has he has proved he does not use common sense when buying a hemet! As the old saying goes"You can be the smartest person on the planet, but the dumbest Son of a Bitch in the room!"

Yes, people really are just plain stupid. No matter where my travels take me, I am amazed at the stupidity of the average person.

Huh.... I just posted this out there for informative purposes and a little bit of fun. I think Jay most likely exaggerated his misfitting helmet, but the point is, according to the guy from Arai, 9 out of 10 riders are wearing the wrong size helmet. 9 out of 10!! That means in his experience, when they measure someone's head the person is wearing the wrong size. I put this out there to bring awareness to all of us how important helmet size is and to just make us think a little bit. I don't think that a person is stupid if they have the wrong size helmet, just uninformed. The stupid ones are the ones who get the information like this, and don't give it any consideration.... obviously everyone is entitled to their own opinions and everyone will take every post with however many grains of salt they think it warrants, but I just wanted to state for the record that my point was NOT to point out how stupid anyone is. Those opinions do not reflect the opinion of the original person posting this.

However, I must agree with KC's comment about the general stupitidy of the population at large. Makes me wonder how some people made it as far as they have in life...

You mean when you turn your head the helmet should follow? Dang, I knew something was wrong, dark-thirty at noon was a bit*h at 90mph. Anyone ever talked their passenger into wearing their hemelt backwards? The cars behind would have a fit!

My first helmet was the wrong size as well. My HJC was a CL-15 medium, I had that "air lift" that leno described, eventually it just didn't feel right. I returned it to the dealer nearly a year after I bought it because the face shield seal was coming off, HJC credited the dealer and they gave me store credit for the full purchase price of the lid.

During the time my HJC was out of comission, I was using the Scorpion EXO 400 that came with my bike from the original owner, it's a large, but it fit a lot more snugly and a lot tighter (odd).

A medium HJC was too large, a large Scorpion is just right. Odd but true.

Thanks for sharing the video VFRChick. I was surprised by how many are wearing the wrong size helmet. I know mine fits pretty snug but it does make me think about rechecking it. I took your posting as an informative approach and not a bashing others thread anyway...

The best things for helemts is to get one with different size pads. Obviously I am biased to Arai, but the RX7 has every single pad available in multiple sizes. I've changed the cheekpads in the last 3 helmets I've purchased.
