welcome to the world.... you are going to purchase a VF500f the VFR didn't come to life until 1986 in the form of a VFr700, AND 750...but they are all interceptors , the VF and VFR.... nonetheless, good choice be sure to check out the 500 quite closely check tank seams , tire wear make sure the forks aren't bent. and that the plastics are in good condition.. as well as the engine listen to her good and make sure it runs without having to have the choke on all the time... because your first thread on here will read " bike runs only while I have it choked" ....there are lots of threads here that are helpfull as well as actual humans that are helpful.. hope the purchase goes well and remember you are buying a 20+ year old motorcycle and parts are becoming hard to find..... don't take this as a chase you off from buying the M/C I amjust trying to let you know some things... I have an 86 VFR700 and its hell finding parts.... doesn't mean I'll get rid of her good luck with the purchase...

and once you get her post up some pictures the knuckle draggers here love pictures..most of th4m don't read really well.
