    Hi everyone!

I finally got me an Interceptor! I've always liked them, my cousin had one when I was about 12, and I LOVED the sound! I've always been a motorhead also, and I work as an automotive technician for my primary employment.

Anyway, I picked up a 1985 Interceptor 500 over the weekend. It's sort of a basket case right now! The original engine was swapped out (I got the original, also) with a '84, and never got completed. They had it running, I'm guessing on the fuel in the float bowls, and when they let the fuel flow from the petcock, he said it flooded. Well, I got it to that point (had it running on starting fluid for a few seconds) and there was fuel running out all over the place! The carbs are now on the bench in process of being cleaned out thoroughly.

My plans for the bike include rebuilding the original engine, tearing the bike down and repainting the frame, putting the original engine back in it, then painting the rest of the bike. I might do some upgradesas i go, such as CBR600 forks, etc... Right now, I just need to get it on the road! The wife gets my Ninja 250 when I get the VF on the road, and she's getting excited!

As for my riding experience, I just started riding a few months ago. I'm glad I didn't get a bike when I was younger, as I may not have lived to tell about it now!

As I go along, I'm sure I'll have question, and I will search around here looking for info. I've seen quite a bit of useful stuff already!
