Hello all, thought I would drop a post telling you a bit about who I am. My name is Jason, I'm a master Honda Technician at a Dealership (autos). I just bought my Interceptor last weekend and have put nearly 200 miles on it commuting this last week in a variety of weather, some of it pretty awful. I have not been motorcycling for very long. My first bike was an '07 Suzuki GS 500f that I bought in May during the fuel crunch to commute on and since then I had put 5600 miles on it. Great beginner bike. I hadn't really planned on upgrading so soon but I stumbled across my VFR at a local dealership and the price was so good I couldn't pass it up. I bought a brand new 07 25th anniversary w/ ABS after the hard sell to my wife and couldn't be happier. The additional weight over my Suzuki (and the whole double the horsepower thing) has been a bit intimidating but I've pretty much relaxed now and have a decent understanding of what it is capable of- under triple digit speeds anyway, I have no intentions of ever learning the absolute limits of the bike's performance. Anyway, thought I would say hello, look forward to reading, learning, and posting on the forum.
    -J

Welcome. If I got a 2nd VFR, that would be the one (or at least one of the ones). Beautiful! Take good care of it and of yourself, and don't ever forget...ATGATT!

Never mind, I just googled it and I always wear a helmet/gloves/jacket/armored pants/boots- I have raced bicycles in the past and hit pavement at 30mph+ in spandex and it is a pretty terrible experience. That's with a 16# bike. I'm guessing when you double the speed and increase the weight of the bike by 500# that if you hit the deck nothing good will happen so I wear all the protection I can get!
