ok , passed my test 2 years ago now thank god.

and becuase of my height and the way i have always felt i have needed the bike to be, i came across a couple year old VFR 800 vtec 2nd hand (didnt buy it) just to see what it felt like and i was like wow, i fell in love, it was much better than the brand new bike in southampton , due to the fact the 2nd hand one was a newer model had a bigger tank, handle bars were up a bit more which allowed far more comfort for my back and also a lot less stres on the wrists.

problem being is that i haventa clue what movdel name etc it was, i do how ever remmber it having a sswitch on the left side fairing and some words. it was also an abs model.

Now ever sicne then, of course ive been tyring to keep upo to date with the new models, and of course we had those fake pictures which MCN in the uk were accused, and propably right to be accusd of doctoring several different bike sections to mke up this brand new 2009 vfr800

so since nothign ever came about this vfr800 and all of a sudden we have this in my opion rubbish 1200 model (dont like the looks one bit)

is that all for the 800 line, or are we stll due thew new model?

    Welcome aboard.
I fear the 800 has fallen by the wayside.

    Welcome to the forum!

2009 should be the last year for the current VFR800. If you love this bike, however, you're in luck because there are still a ton of them out there. Here in the U.S. there are still brand new '07s and '08s left on dealership sales floors, and Honda is offering big discounts on the '07s.

There is a rumored VFR1000 yet to come. I'll believe it when I see it - but I don't really expect to see it. I think it's just a rumor. :frown:

Don't knock the new VFR1200 'til you've seen it in person. After seeing the bike and its specs upon it's unveiling a couple weeks ago - and reading the first couple mini-reviews that came out this week - I'm encouraged. Sounds like it will be a terrific bike.

well i dont have any cash at the moment.

heck i wouldnt mind the 1200, if it just didnt look so damn ugly.

im sorry but the thing looks like its taken a design idea from the 80's , the front end looks ghastly, and its the front i loved about the newer models.

the seat on the 1200 also looks way too sporty, its a tourer after all, since when has touring on a sportbike been fun and left your backside wanting to ride more on a sports bike.

so when did this rumour of the 1000 come into play, becuase the only details ive ever come across has been the infor about mcn doctoring photos.

just wondering, how easy do you think it would be to replace the new facew with the face off of the 2007 model lol

well i wouldnt mind the more advanced tech and riding ability of the bike, i just dont like the front.

    edit:

ok it seems the seat comment was based on a rather dodogy shot that had been taken of the bike and made me think it was very much like the painful sports bikes seats you see today.

and thankfully ive been watching some videos of the bike and the seata look really nice.

so its a shame that the front end looks just like a bmw bike....anybody else think this? becuase if it wasnt for the vfr badge a little the the left, if it was a little to the right it would be spot on for a bmw.

no offence to bmw bikers here, it just doesnt work on this bike..... wonder if they will bring out a newer mobldel 24 hours after they bring this out with a replacment front area from the vfr 2007 he he

OK, so it had been bugging me about the front end... yeah when will i ever shut up about that front end..simple when they change it to the 2007 lol.

anyways its the blooming BMW R 1200 RT that loks remarkably the same , except the bw one looks a little bigger.

no wonder it didnt fit .

ok im seeing more and more evidence over the sports tourer over at BMW that just shows its a rip design from there.

so my question is, did the designer come from bmw?

maybe its a planned sabotage he he
