Hello New to Forum! and vfr purchase question!

Hey everyone I just signed up to this forum because im interested in a vfr.

I got one question for you,
There is a 2003 honda vfr 800, vtec for sale in my area it has a few extras including a black pearl paintjob, 20,000 kilometers, and the bike looks mint!
hes selling it for $5000 canadian, if my bank loan goes through im thinking of picking this beauty up.

Just want your opinion if this is a good buy!

Let me be the first to say welcome to the forum.Not to be a butthead but I would be a little concerned about a painted bike. Most people do not paint a bike unless it has been crashed , not always a bad thing but be sure if it has to look it over to avoid unwanted suprises later.:thumbsup:

yes it has been down previously and all the parts that were damaged were replaced including the right side fairing and rad so that is the reson for the new paint. I also took it for a test ride and everything seemed fine. A little sputtering at very low speeds but ive read that its common and the bypassing the O2 sensor will fix that right up.

Just want an opinion about the price range

Welcome Polak. It does sound like a decent price to be sure. I would have it checked over by a competent technician for sure. Given your handle, I suspect you are from the WPG area?

 

Yes randy im from the wpg area where we have 4 months of riding and we pay up the ass for it!

Oh and i forgot to mention the guy used it mainly for long trips to vancouver and back so most of the km are highway.
