    Hey all-
I'm in the market for a 5th gen vfr as a commuter. I've been riding since I was 17, mostly on Hondas, and always on something other than an inline-4 (singles, lots of twins, and a much loved vf-500). Right now I've got a sick Transalp that needs to go down for a long overdue resucitation and I commute 15-20 miles a day, preferably by bike. I was casting about for a new (to me) bike when I got the chance to ride my friends 91 VFR. I'd forgotten what a brilliant motor that thing has. So here I am. Thanks.

    -Scott

I was up there not long ago. I think you're looking at less than 4 hours drive to here. There is a 5th gen in the paper for around 4k that has a few additions. damn. I just looked at classifieds. they either sold it or got tired of running it. there is one at powerhouse in paso robles for around 5k. it's a 2001 with corbin seat helibars and a tank bra, stock pipe, tires ok, around 21k miles(I think). I think I may have a couple pics on my computer i took for a friend from sacramento that was considering a vfr. he ended up getting an FZ 1. try craigslist.org I bought my last 4 bikes from there...

Bonus: I found the VFR that was in the paper I think: Look here http://slo.craigslist.org/mcy/211069610.html

I can go look at it if you like and take more pics and give you a personal report...

I found mine on Cycletrader.com. Private sellers usually and good selection. Happy hunting.

Hi Guys. I just saw a '98 VFR800FI on Craigslist in the San Francisco Bay Area.
    Price?...........How about $6,500 !! Reason?........only 500 original miles!
Actually, IMHO, the '98 and '99 bikes are going to be the most sought after
models because of the gear driven cams, no Vtec, looks, etc. So, this bike, would be a great collectible machine. I wouldn't mind having twins ;o)
