Just joined and hope to purchase a 2007 VFR SE with ABS.
Will look at it this weekend!
Been off bikes for a while and need a good commuter ride. My last bike as a cruiser so I'm new to the sport bike world.

What are the details - miles, condition, modifications, etc.? We might be able to give you some tips on what to look for based on the details. Welcome to the forum.

8000 miles, ABS, Brand New tires, mint condition, double bubble smoked canopy, just got serviced, shortened color matched levers, extended warrenty till 2015.
Mostly stock.

That sounds really good. Are you buying from a dealer or individual? At this point, I'd then try to determine how many previous owners there have been and if you're fortunate enough to be dealing with the original owner, then you can discuss the maintenance history. That will give you a real good feel for how the bike was cared for. Again, with what you've described, it sounds like there is little to be worried about. Any more info at this point would just be gravy. In the end, it will probably boil down to the price. Let us know how it goes. Good luck.

Greeting...have you ridden it yet? If you havnt ridden a vfr before, be prepared for sex on 2 wheels.

Welcome for sure. Actually no one here is crazy. We are all a serious bunch. There are many here with valuable insight on just about anything motorcycle related. I am not one of those.

 

I bought the bike from the original owner. He works at the dealer so the bike has had all the required services. Its in mint condition and just had the 8K service and new tires installed. A power port was installed for heated clothing.
Took it for a test ride and hit 108, was smooth as glass! What a fun ride.
It has an unlimited miles extended warranty with roadside assistance till 2015.
I got it for $5700.
I really love the 25th Anniversary paint scheme, its a beautiful bike. Now I need to find a better seat as this will be a commuter bike.
Any suggestions?

As I mentioned in chat, you will find Sargent lovers, Corbin lovers and everyone else. It seems that the Sargents are preferred on our bikes.

 

Well I have a Corbin and its the best ever. So there.
