    Hello there,

Just figured I'd introduce myself. 3 weeks ago I bought an almost new 2007 anniversary edition VFR, and almost 2 weeks, 6 days, and 23 hours ago I proceeded to low side in a turn. It was probably equal parts inexperience on a new bike and bad tires (tire shine on tread surface !!). The guy told me they were bald and I saw the shined tread but somehow all reason got blown out of my head when VTEC kicked in.

Luckily the saddlebag saved most of the plastics and also probably my foot. Unfortunately my self esteem was not. I hope to have it mostly fixed by this weekend, but can anybody recommend a good type of protection like bar sliders in case this happens again?

    Mike
